The Mutants were born from
the humans through of course, mutation. Others viewed their changes
as a plague and started the war between themselves and the humans.
They also view the evolution of the Biomeks as disgusting with
their usage of biomechanical engineering to modify themselves.
You could say the Mutants have the home field advantage in terms
of the enviroment this war rages over. After the apocalypse, the
mutants developed a special bond with the ravaged enviroment and
invulunerable to the contamination.
This
faction's technologies and capabilities are based around their
ability to take advantage of the contamination and use it as a
weapon versus others and as a defensive capability, allowing defensive
armor on their vehicles to regenerate over time. Also, an ability
known as the wraithphase can be used and is known as one of their
own advantages over the other races.
Their
structure is based around their own religion, and the young mutants
prove their right to become warriors through the Rites of Ascension,
which is conducted on the Proving Grounds, south of the town of
Tocado. When they prove their abilities, their rite is completed
and they are now a warrior for the cause.
The four
classes of warrior that the Mutant faction are Champion, Archon,
Shaman, and Avenger.
